The E-Team Program
This newly proposed outreach program is focused on recruitment of female participants into the E-TEAM Machinist Job Training Program. The goal of this Lynn-based initiative is to identify and attract women to a nontraditional career option in metalworking.
Girls Inc. of Lynn
Strong, Smart and Bold Program
Girls Inc. created an economic literacy program for 9th grade girls in order to inspire them to explore a variety of broad-ranged career options. Through computer and technical skills, financial management and leadership training, these girls will be better equipped to achieve economic independence and personal fulfillment.
Help for Abused Women and their Children
Making Money Work
HAWC offers this program for their shelter residents in Essex County. It allows these women the opportunity to receive basic money management training, smart shopping, school, work, and childcare transitional living.
Northern Essex Community College
The Women’s Network
This independent agency works within the Career Planning Center at the College in Haverhill. The Network provides a one-stop source for women within the college as well as the external community who have the desire to explore career and educational opportunities, enhance their self-esteem, and provide support for each other.
Wellspring House
Foundations Program
The goal of this program is to assist women (18-60) in their quest for personal and financial stability. It is a comprehensive education program that combines academic skills, career training for women on the North Shore who need guidance and assistance with their personal growth and change.
YWCA of Greater Lawrence
Economic Literacy Program
Participants are empowered to understand and own the connection between education and future quality of life. The program’s content focuses on comprehensive career development and life skills training as well as providing the tools and hopeful opportunities needed to succeed.
